DHA Female Varsity has started the 2016-2017 season on a positive note.  The girls went undefeated in four games over the weekend in the first ever Canadian Sport School Hockey League at the Banff Showcase.

On Friday afternoon, Macy Young scored in OT to lift the girls to a 4-3 win over Coeur d’ Alene Hockey Academy.  Faith Harris led the charge for Delta with a pair of goals, while goaltender Jamie Johnson made 40 saves in net.

Macy Young had two goals including the game-winner as the Delta Hockey Academy were 4-2 winners over the Coeur d’ Alene Hockey Academy on Saturday morning.

Alexia Ursua and Marah Wagner also found the back of the net for Delta (3-0-0), while Reese Hiddleston stopped 21-of-23 shots she faced to pick up her second win of the season in net.

Jamie Johnson stopped all 26 shots she faced for the shutout as the Delta Hockey Academy blanked the Banff Hockey Academy by a 6-0 score on Saturday night.

Marah Wagner scored twice for Delta (4-0-0), while Macy Young chipped in with a goal and assist. Mackenzie Paynter , Baie Marcantonio and Karina Lannard rounded out the scoring with singles.

Alexia Ursua scored twice, while Reese Hiddleston stopped all 17 shots she faced as the Delta Hockey Academy won their fifth straight game to start the season, defeating the Banff Hockey Academy by a 6-0 score on Sunday morning.

Macy Young added a goal and two helpers for Delta (5-0-0), while Faith Harris, Baie Marcantonio and Marah Wagner chipped in with singles.
