After losing a tight battle 2 -1 in OT to the OHA Red on the opening day of the Showcase, the Delta Prep 15 game winning streak came to a halt.  The team went 2-1-1- in the Burnaby/Delta Showcase over the weekend. 

Friday, Feb. 4th
OHA RED 2 – DELTA 1

Lane French (Princeton, BC) scored the game winner 1:25 into overtime as Okanagan Hockey Academy Red edged the Delta Hockey Academy by a score of 2-1 on Friday afternoon.

Josh Arnold (Cloverdale, BC) scored the lone goal in regulation for OHA Red (17-6-2), tying the game up at one with 4:01 left in the first period. Shane Farkas (Penticton, BC / Lethbridge Hurricanes) grabbed his ninth win of the season in goal, stopping 27-of-28 shots fired his way.

Matthew Mosher (White Rock, BC / Saskatoon Blades) tallied for Delta (24-3-1), which got 13 saves from goaltender Ty Taylor (Richmond, BC).

DELTA 4 – PURSUIT 3
 
Andrew Kemp (Richmond, BC) and Tyler Lauinger (Delta, BC) each scored in regulation and in the shootout as the Delta Hockey Academy edged the Pursuit of Excellence 4-3 on Saturday night.
 
Issac Embree (Delta, BC) also tallied in regulation for Delta, while Ty Taylor (Richmond, BC) picked up his 12th win of the season, making 19 saves on the night.
 
Ty Pochipinski (Colorado Springs, CO), Juanre Naude (Kelowna, BC) and Aiden Buhler (Winnipeg, MB) provided the offence for Pursuit, which got 26 saves from goaltender Jordan Wilde (Kelowna, BC / Saskatoon Blades).

OHA WHITE 3 – DELTA 2

Connor Marritt’s (Kelowna, BC) power-play goal late in the first period would be the eventual game-winner as Okanagan Hockey Academy White hung on for a 3-2 win over the Delta Hockey Academy on Saturday afternoon.
 
Keltie Jeri-Leon (Kelowna, BC / Tri-City Americans) and Brendan Kim (Burnaby, BC) also tallied for OHA White (19-7-0), while Nolan Hildebrand (Summerland, BC) made 26 saves in goal to earn his 12th win of the season.
 
Jeremy Kelleway (White Rock, BC) stopped 15 shots between the pipes.

Sunday, Feb. 6th
DELTA 3 – COEUR D’ ALENE 0

Jeremy Kelleway stopped all 23 shots he faced to earn his fifth shutout of the season as the Delta Hockey Academy blanked the Coeur d’ Alene Hockey Academy by a 3-0 score on Sunday afternoon.

Brendan Budy (Langley, BC / U. of Denver) opened the scoring with the lone goal of the first period, while Sean Comrie (Edmonton, AB / Brandon Wheat Kings) and Jake Keremidschieff (White Rock, BC) rounded out the Delta (26-4-1) scoring with second period markers.

Bailey Brkin (Edmonton, AB) was rock solid in the Coeur d’ Alene (7-24-2) crease, stopping 52-of-55 shots fired his way.
