Friday, February 4th

EDGE 8 – DELTA 4
 
Jacob Bernard-Docker (Canmore, AB / Swift Current Broncos) and Maxwell Crozier (Calgary, AB) each scored twice as the Edge School for Athletes were 8-4 winners over the Delta Hockey Academy on Friday night.

Dino Kambeitz (Denver, CO / Victoria Royals) and Damon Zimmer (Camrose, AB / Spokane Chiefs) each finished with a goal and two helpers for Edge (20-8-0), which erased a 4-4 tie after 40 minutes with four unanswered goals in the final frame. Riley Fonger (Calgary, AB) made 29 saves to earn his 14th win of the season between the barber poles.

Tyler Chyzowski (South Surrey, BC) had a goal and two assists for Delta (23-5-2), which got 17 saves from goaltender Jacob Bakken (Surrey, BC).

SATURDAY, February 5th

DELTA 3 – OKANAGAN 1

Maguire Houlind (Langley, BC) stopped 32 shots as the Delta Hockey Academy topped the Okanagan Hockey Academy 3-1 on Saturday evening.

Hunor Torzsok (Surrey, BC) opened the scoring less than five minutes into the game, while Tanner Hopps (North Delta, BC) tallied the eventual game-winner late in the frame. Ethan Scardina (South Surrey, BC / Everett Silvertips) added a third period insurance marker.

Christopher Morris (Naples, FL) scored the lone goal for Okanagan, while Brandon Peacock (Quesnel, BC / Brandon Wheat Kings) made 27 saves in goal.

GAME SUMMARY

DELTA 5 – PURSUIT 2

Pearce Messer (North Delta, BC) scored three times as the Delta Hockey Academy were 5-2 winners over the Pursuit of Excellence on Saturday morning.

Thomas Garey (Delta, BC) and Mackenzie Merriman (White Rock, BC) each chipped in with singles for Delta, which scored two empty-netters in the final 1:05 of the game. Tanner Hopps (North Delta, BC) finished the day with four assists, while Jacob Bakken (Surrey, BC) made 25 saves in goal.

Max Bulawka (Kelowna, BC) and Flynn Perry (Inuvik, NWT) tallied for Pursuit, which got 40 saves from goaltender Tanner Marshall (Kelowna, BC).
