Devon Vorster (Richmond, BC) scored twice and setup another as the Delta Hockey Academy skated to their sixth straight victory with a 6-4 win over the Pursuit of Excellence in Canadian Sport School Hockey League Prep Division action on Saturday afternoon.
Taylor, Kemp lift Delta to win over Burnaby
Forty-two saves from Ty Taylor (Richmond, BC) and three points from Andrew Kemp (Richmond, BC) propelled the Delta Hockey Academy to a 3-2 win over the BWC Hockey Academy on Friday afternoon at the Pacific Coliseum in Canadian Sport School Hockey League Prep Division action.
Trailing 2-1 after 20 minutes, Kemp tallied twice in the middle stanza to put Delta (29-4-1) out in front. Bradley Ong added a first period marker for Delta, which scored all three of their goals on the man-advantage.
Angus Crookshank (North Vancouver, BC) and Brady Chin (Burnaby, BC) provided the offence for Burnaby (27-3-2), scoring their 36th and ninth goals of the season respectively.
The 42 saves from Taylor, who is now 14-3-0 on the season, are a season high as he stopped 21 shots in the third period alone.
Nico Lopes (West Vancouver, BC) stopped 18-of-21 in the Burnaby crease.
Bantam Evaluation Registration Now Open Limited Space Available Deadline March 15
Registration is now open for our Bantam Evaluation for Prep, Varsity I and Varsity II on April 1-3. The deadline for registration is March 15 and space is limited so register now to avoid disappointment.
This will be an open evaluation process for those interested in competing for a spot on one of our Bantam teams. Our evaluation process is one that is year round. Current players as well as players outside of our program are always being evaluated for the upcoming 2016-17 season.

The April 1-3 weekend gives the program coaches & evaluation staff an opportunity to view all players in a similar environment, competing against like abilities. Teams will not necessarily be picked this weekend, however it will give coaches the information needed to short list several players for their specific teams.
All players will have 4 ice times with 1 practice and 3 scrimmages.

Kelleway, Wilson lift Delta to shootout win over Shawnigan

Vancouver Giants and DHA in 4th Annual Acceptance Day Game
In Wednesday afternoon hockey action at the Pacific Coliseum the Vancouver Giants squared off with the Victoria Royals in the 4th Annual “Acceptance” Day Game. The DHA Bantam Varsity and Bantam Varsity II teams were there to see the Giants go down 5-2 to the Royals and witness the massive pink flash mob (Click here) before competing against each other in the CSSHL regular season play down. For the second consecutive year the Varsity boys captured the crown with a final score of 7-3. Despite a tight 3-3 battle until late in the 3rd period, the Varsity team pulled away after capitalizing on a powerplay goal. Congratulations to everyone involved!

Prep Defeat Edge Twice in Weekend Action
The Wild Prep team dumped the Edge School for Athletes twice on the weekend propelling them in to first place with a 15-4-1 record. DHA netted 4 unanswered goals on Saturday to down Edge School 5-2 and 5 unanswered goals in the third period on Sunday to finish off the competition 7-2.
DHA Prep go 2-1-1 in Weekend Showcase
After losing a tight battle 2 -1 in OT to the OHA Red on the opening day of the Showcase, the Delta Prep 15 game winning streak came to a halt. The team went 2-1-1- in the Burnaby/Delta Showcase over the weekend.
DHA E15’s go 3- 1 in Edge Showcase

Brendan Budy commits to University of Denver
DHA would like to congratulate Prep forward Brendan Budy on his commitment to the University of Denver. Fifteen year old Budy has 36 points in 21 games, helping the Wild to a 24-3-0 record and a 15 game winning streak so far on the season.
