Tanner Hopps scored twice and setup another as the Delta Hockey Academy skated to a 6-2 victory over Shawnigan Lake School on Sunday morning in Canadian Sport School Hockey League Midget Prep Division action.

Max Mohagen finished with a goal and two assists for Delta, which have now won five straight games to open up the season.

Mackenzie Merriman, Matthew Mosher and Thomas Garey rounded out the scoring attack, each netting a single, while Jacob Bakken picked up the win in goal, making 25 saves on the day.

On Saturday evening in a tight match, Hopps scored in the shootout, along with Mackenzie Merriman to top Shawnigan for a 1-0 win.  Shane Meadahl pushed away all 39 shots that came his way.

Congratulations to the DHA Midget Prep on having started the 2016-2017 season with a 5-0 record.
