DHA Bantam Varsity Green have extended their win streak to 10 games after blanking DHA Bantam Varsity White by a score of 2-0. Alec Scouras opened the scoring at the end of the second and Lukas Olson added the insurance marker .
Nelson Griffiths was rock solid in the Delta White (7-2-1) net, stopping 43-of-45 shots fired his way.

It was a big weekend for the Bantam Varsity Green and White teams in Vernon. Both teams came away with 4 solid wins in league action. The BV Green team is undefeated and leads the division with it’s nine game win streak and 18 points. BV White posted a new win streak with the 4 wins and boasts a 7-1-1 record with 14 points and hold 3rd place with 15 points.
On Friday, Sammy May and Holden Cardinal netted 2 goals and an assist each, while Alec Scouras added another as BV Green defeated POE 5-3. Alex Serraglio, Zach Sherwin, Landon Walter and Jacob Sherwood pitched in with helpers for the win. Nathan Kirkpatrick pushed away 28 of 31 shots that came his way.
BV White blanked IHA 8-0 as Kai Daniells scored three times, while Nelson Griffiths stopped all 18 shots he faced as Delta Hockey Academy White blanked the International Hockey Academy by a 8-0 score on Friday evening.
Carson Merriman, Luke Pakulak, Pierce Lee and Liam Tanner added goals for the win.

Early Saturday morning BV Green scored 6 goals in the 3rd period to upend Edge 12-1. A balanced attacked with scoring and helpers across the team as well outshooting their opponents 64-8 resulted in the lopsided win.
Later Saturday night the BV Green outshot their opponent 58-30 as they defeated IHA 10-1. Alec Scouras (3 goals and an assist) and Trevor Thurston (3 goals) led the attack while Carson Latimer added 2 goals and an assist. Landon Walter found the back of the net and added a helper while Austin Ungurean also added a single. Holden Cardinal (5), Zach Sherwin (2), Sammy May (2), Carson Hemenway (2), Alex Serraglio (1) all added helpers on the win.
Connor Schultz led the attack with 2 goals and an assist for BV White on Saturday as the DHA dumped POE 6-3. Luke Pakulak, Nicholas Kovacs and Ethan Urquhart added a goal and an assist each while Luke Chakrabarti added a single.
Saturday afternoon BV White upended Edge School 7 – 1. Luke Pakulak led the attack with 3 goals. Connor McColman, Kai Daniels and Luke Chakrabarti added a goal and an assist and Connor Merriman netted a single.
On Sunday BV Green downed POE 5-3 and BV White defeated IHA 5-2. Roan Clarke of the White saved 18 of 20 shots that came his way while Nathan Kirkpatrick pushed away 43 of 45 shots that came his way for the Green win and a clean sweep on the weekend.

Delta Hockey Academy Varsity Green and White teams had huge success as they rolled over the competition at the BV Showcase in Calgary.

Bantam PrepDelta Hockey Academy (8) (8:30am) — Justin Sourdif led the way with three goals and two helpers as the Delta Hockey Academy cruised to an 8-2 win over the Notre Dame Hounds on Friday morning. Tyler Horstmann and Trevor Thurston each added a goal and assist for Delta (2-0-0), while Ryan Deighton picked up the win in goal. ——————————————————- Delta Hockey Academy (10) (3:00pm) – Brandon Santa Juana and Cole Shepard each finished with two goals and an assist as the Delta Hockey Academy’s high-octane offence was on display again, this time in a 10-1 win over the Edge School for Athletes. Tyler Horstmann also had a three-point game for Delta (3-0-0), scoring once and assisting on two others, while John Evans and Gabriel Shipley each finished with three helpers. Brady Euerby (Ladner, BC) made 15 saves in goal. ——————————————————- Delta Hockey Academy White (4) (6:15pm) – Carter McColman scored the game-winner with 3:20 remaining in Overtime as Delta Hockey Academy White pulled away with a 4-3 win over the Pursuit of Excellence on Friday evening. Connor Schultz, Quinn Messer and Carson Merriman each tallied singles for Delta White (1-0-0), while Roan Clarke made 21 saves in goal.
——————————————————— Female VarsityDelta Hockey Academy (4) (12:00pm) – Macy Young scored the game-winner 44 seconds into overtime as the Delta Hockey Academy prevailed with a 4-3 win over the Coeur d’ Alene Hockey Academy on Friday afternoon. Faith Harris led the charge for Delta (2-0-0) with a pair of goals, while goaltender Reese Hiddleston made 40 saves in net.

A record number of DHA and CSSHL products have been invited to summer camps and DHA is extremely proud to congratulate 14 of our players.
This summer DHA U18 Prep teammates, Luke Zazula (forward) and Sean Comrie (defenseman) are among the 18 CSSHL members to be invited to the 196 player National Teams’ Summer Showcase.
The National Teams’ Summer Showcase will bring together Canada’s National Men’s Summer Under-18 Team Selection Camp (44 players) and Canada’s National Under-18 Development Camp (111 players) in Calgary from July 26-Aug. 2. Canada’s National Junior Team Sport Chek Summer Development Camp (41 players) will be hosted in Toronto July 30-Aug 2, and will feature a four-game series against the U.S., Sweden, and Finland from Aug. 3-6 in Plymouth, Mich.

RECORD NUMBER OF DHA PLAYERS TO ATTEND BC MALE U16 CAMP
DHA is proud to announce that 12 of its players have been invited to attend the BC Male U16 Camp which takes place at Shawnigan Lake School from July 13 – 17, 2016.
Congratulations to Arshdeep Bains, Aidan Barfoot, Roman Basran, Boston Bilous, Kolton Cousins, Dylan Cozens, Keegan Craik, Tyus Gent, Butch La Roue, Jalen Price, Tyler Price, Ben Wozney.
The players were invited based on their performance at the U16 BC Cup in April. Following the Provincial Camp, 20 players will be selected to play for Team BC at the 2016 Western Branch Challenge Cup in October.

This year’s WHL Bantam hosted in Calgary was open to 2001 born players and twelve DHA players heard their names called on Thursday May 5th. DHA is extremely proud of the following players:
Forward Dylan Cozens was the first DHA player going in the first round, 19th overall to the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Forward Lukas Svjekovsky was drafted in the second round, 36th overall to the Vancouver Giants.
Next off the board was Jalen Price, in the 3rd round, 63rd overall to the Medicine Hat Tigers and goaltender Roman Basran 64th overall to the Kelowna Rockets. In the 4th round and 80th overall goaltender Boston Bilous went the Edmonton Oil Kings and 88th overall forward Tyus Gent went to the Victoria Royals.
Forward Keegan Craik was selected in the 5th round, 98th overall by the Prince George Cougars while forward Aidan Barfoot was selected by the Vancouver Giants in the 6th round 113th overall.
Forward Corson Hopwo was selected 138th overall in Round 7 by the Medicine Hat Tigers and defenceman Nicholas Kent went 147th overall to the Saskatoon Blades.
Defenceman Ben Wozney was selected in the 9th Round 181 overall by the Edmonton Oil Kings and Butch LaRoue went in Round 10 208th overall to the Prince George Cougars.

The Delta Hockey Academy wrapped up the regular season without a regulation loss as they skated to a 5-3 win over Delta Hockey Academy ’02 in Canadian Sport School Hockey League Bantam Varsity Division action on Sunday morning.
